I'm just getting into this. I use a straight razor. I had no idea of the online community supporting this. I should have known. I'm thinking about getting my dad a DE. The cartridge prices are going crazy ($12 for a 4 pack?). I have collected a bit of information and much of it crosses over to the DE safety razors. Let me know if you want me to send you what I have.

I'm a blond guy, and growing facial hair makes me look my age. :)

The hair on my cheeks is patchy though, and I make a point of shaving that. I had bought a $10 straight razor on e-bay. Unfortunately, it was as dull as a butter knife. And it will cost another $30 to get it sharpened. I've been putting that off, and have been using the "cheap crappy" method because it's more convenient.

I hate using the internet to buy things. I wish there were more resources to show you how to make these sorts of choices locally, or at least at a store within my general area.

Has anyone ever told you that you have a slight resemblance to Henry Rollins?
